• Hello and welcome to my new blog and online portfolio.
Here I will post my recent work and news about projects I am involved in.
It does feel like my life and work are entwined. What's in my life, goes into my work, so occasionally, there will be a personal post..
As a photographer and artist, I specialize in portraits and wedding photography —seeking moments with unique depth and sense of spirit
My goal as portrait photographer is to create portraits which show personality and document who you really are.
Although my approach is predominantly reportage, I also enjoy producing images with a more polished feel. I believe that this offers a unique blend of styles to produce images that are natural and creative.
I take great pride in my business, regularly investing in the best equipment and in high level training. I always wish to offer a very personal service, which can, wherever possible, adapt to the clients wishes.
I offer customized packages for small weddings and I adore working with creative and DIY couples on little budgets when I can. So if you think your wedding might be too hard for me to resist please get in touch and I will put together a customized quote if possible.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have any inquiries, questions and comments.
I hope you enjoy browsing my work, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Reward yourself. Every day a little..

Working from home requires discipline. In order to get things done I have to plan my day very carefully. I write a list at the beginning of the day, and cross tasks as the day progresses. Some days are better than others. Some tasks roll over for weeks.. I must admit that sticking to my plan ain’t easy.
I have read countless articles on how to improve productivity working from home, and in theory, all made sense… but in reality, procrastination and lack of discipline were slowly dragging me into a ditch! Hours wasted during the day meant hours working into the night.
Recently during a parent teacher interview at my daughter’s school, a teacher suggested that a reward at the end of homework time would be beneficial to her productivity. My daughter has been working extra hard in order to earn  extra time on the computer.
Since then, I have been rewarding myself at the end of each day with anything that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Everyone needs a daily small dose of good things to grow.  Essential for life/work balance.
It works for me.

My reward for today’s work was taking photos of my latest obsession. Succulents.
Until this day I haven’t bought any of those plants. They are so easily adaptable and cuttings grow basically anywhere. I am in love with my Terrariums!
They are easy to make and look so beautiful!
If you want to make one, just make sure you use slow growing plants. Garden soil works best, it is important not to add to much organic matter, otherwise the glass can sweat when the lid is on.   A layer of sand in the bottom looks great and helps with drainage.  Water twice a month and fall in love with your miniature landscape

Sydney Wedding

Working as a freelancer for Dreamlife, I had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours with one of their Sydney seniors photographers. It was amazing to be able to shoot in such a fantastic location.

Sydney, I love you.

Ange and Tim

It was an amazing wedding. In every detail there was a strong presence of love and dedication. Both families worked really hard, and with incredible attention to detail, Edd’s Farm was shaped into a spectacular venue to welcome and stun 171 guests.  Tim’s brother, Bil, was the best man, his toast was a huge success and definitely unforgettable.  In between moments of deep meaning and sentiment there was a ton of dancing and going crazy. It was such a treat to all of us to dance to the  music of the band, they were just phenomenal and had the dance floor full for the entire wedding reception! Catering was impeccable. Dinner was a memorable feast, food was delicious and staff was faultless, I loved the idea of Ange and Tim selecting  a few guests to carve the meat,  it added a family dinner feel to the event. Genius. The men looked sharp in dinner suits. The ladies looked amazing specially after heals were ditched and replaced by gum boots.   Tim and Ange, thank you for inviting me to your warm-hearted event. It was an absolute honor to capture it for you. xx Pat
